The Parker Sonnet is an important part of the modern Parker range, coming in a variety of finishes and nibs, covering the mid-price range.  This example, finished in glossy black laquer is still a current model, though with some minor cosmetic changes.  This is one of the more up-market variants, fitted with a quality 18ct gold nib.  Both pen and pencil have a broad gold plated cap band and gold plated clip.  Both pen and pencil are in excellent condition, the only blemish being a small loss of plating from the tiny ring on the end of the section - where the nib enters the pen.

The medium 18ct gold nib nib is stamped " Parker 18k 750", and writes smoothly.  It has no visible signs of wear.  This nib is etched with a pattern of lines and scrolls and is a very attractive item in itself.

This pen has a cartridge/converter filler, allowing standard Parker cartridges to be used, alternatively it can be bottle filled using the twist-action converter, included.

The pencil has a twist-cap mechanism and uses 0.5mm leads.  It is unused and still has the "Parker Sonnet Laque" tag attached to it.
