Condition:

This Parker 51 custom is in excellent condition throughout.  Cocoa is one of the more scarce colours and is therefore more of a collector's item, commanding a higher price than the common colours. Please note two small defects:

• There is some ink staining extending about 1.5mm along the nib shell from the clutch ring. This isn't very noticeable but it is permanent.
• There is a very faint hairline part way around the barrel about 1cm from the closed end. Again this is ink stained but it is quite difficult to see unless you are searching for it.

Overall the pen has a very good appearance. The cap is bright with no plating loss and there is no fading or significant scratches on the plastic parts.

This pen has a 14ct gold Parker nib with a medium fine tip.  It is in excellent condition and is a very good smooth writer.  

Parker 51s are generally reckoned to be one of the most dependable pens ever made.  This pen has had a full strip-down service and is ready for many more years of reliable service.
