The Sheaffer New Gift Collection comes in a range of three finishes - new for 2007. The 9312 has a large chunky metal cap and barrel, finished in glossy black. This is a new shape for the Gift Collection, the cap having a broad flat top, with the clip wrapping across the top.

The ballpoint is the twist-cap variety and comes fitted with a medium blue refill. The mechanical pencil is the clutch-pencil type, the mechanism being operated by twisting the cap. It uses 0.7mm leads.
