This new Sheaffer fountain pen has both cap and barrel finished in a deep lacquer with a leather-like finish. Cap and barrel are both metal, giving the pen a solid, chunky feel. The Legacy models resemble the Imperial and PFM pens of the 1950s, having the same inset nib and quality feel. This pen is a cartridge filler, taking the standard Sheaffer cartridges. It can also be bottle filled using the Sheaffer converter which is included.

The pen is fitted with an 18ct solid gold nib, palladium plated to maintain the silver and black effect of the pen. It has a medium point.
