This new Sheaffer Legacy pen has both cap and barrel finished in highly polished palladium, with a chased straight line pattern.  It has a slip-on cap and is fitted with a handsome 18ct gold inset nib, plated with palladium to match the style of the pen, it has a medium point.  

The Legacy pens very much reflect the style of the Imperial and PFM models of the 1950s and '60s, though it feels heavier than either.  The barrel is somewhat fatter than the old Imperial - about the same as the PFM.  These are great pens to write with.

The Sheaffer Legacy is a cartridge / converter filler and comes complete with the modern twist-type converter.
