The Pilot Namiki "Vanishing Point" is unique in that it has no cap and the nib is retracted by pressing a button on the opposite end, much the same as a ballpoint.  This is no gimmick, it is a top quality pen with an enviable reputation for durability and writing quality.  This example is finished in black with gold plated trim.  This pen is more or less unused and is in mint condition.

The Vanishing Point pen is a cartridge/converter filler, taking Namiki cartridges or it can be bottle filled using the pressure-bar type converter, supplied.

The nib is a top quality 18ct solid gold item and has a medium tip. It is a great writer.
