This model was first introduced in the U.S.A. in 1929 and closely resembles the other Duofolds of the same era, It is fitted with a button filling system. The blind cap unscrews from the end revealing a small brass button which operates a spring-loaded pressure bar inside the barrel to compress the ink sac. This is a very simple and effective filling system much favoured by Parker. As can be seen from the photographs the barrel has ambered over time. This is a reaction between the plastic of the barrel, rgw pigments in the ink and the rubber ink sac, and cannot be reversed. It is a very common feature of pens of this age and colour, and some people think that it adds to its attractiveness. It is in otherwise very good condition. The imprint is clear and crisp, reading "GEO.S. PARKER DUOFOLD JR FOUNTAIN PEN TORONTO -- LUCKY CURVE -- CAN"
The cap features two narrow cap rings and a ball-ended clip, stamped simply "PARKER" retained by a flat top cap end. The both cap rings and clip have some brassing on the edges were the plating have worn. Like the barrel there is some ambering of the plastic, but this is not so severe, and you can see what colour the pen started life as.
The smooth medium nib is stamped "PARKER DUOFOLD PEN CANADA A". It is retained by a 'Christmas Tree' feed.
