This pen can be dated fairly accurately to between 1928 and 1929 - the triple cap bands were introduced in 1928 and the imprint was changed in 1929. It is finished in jade green pearl with black blind cap and cap end. The imprint is clear and reads: "Lady DUOFOLD GEO.S.PARKER LUCKY CURVE FOUNTAIN PEN JANESVILLE.WIS. U.S.A.PAT.NO.4-25-11". It is a button filler, as can be seen in the lower part of the main photograph.
The cap has no imprint, but three gold cap rings, together with a gold plate ring top. These pens often discolour with age, the black ends oxidising to a brownish colour and the green darkening as it reacts with the ink and the ink sac over time. This particular example has escaped most of this deterioration. There is only slight brassing of the cap bands and ring top.
The pen is fitted with a fine Parker nib, stamped "PARKER DUOFOLD PEN P". It writes smoothly. The ink sac has been replaced.
