This lever filling fountain is from the late 1940s or early 1950s. It is finished in grey pearl, with gold trim - except that most of the gold plating has worn away. The shallow imprint reads " WYVERN PREFECT MADE IN ENGLAND". The lever has lost all its gold plating and now looks chrome plated. The rubber ink sac has been replaced.
The cap has a single narrow gold plated band, which has retained much of its gold plate. The clip is stamped with a stylised Wyvern - a mythical 2-legged dragon. The 14K gold nib is in good condition, and is stamped with a Wyvern and "14K". It writes very nicely and is on the fine side of medium.
