This is an attractive lever filling pen in very good condition finished in a marbled grey pearl with red veins running along the length of the barrel.. The barrel has a deep and clear imprint reading: "W.A.SHEAFFER PEN CO. FORT MADISON ,IOWA,U.S.A. PAT.D-78,795.". The matching cap has a narrow chrome plated cap band, which is showing some slight loss of plating, and a chrome plated clip. The clip, stamped "SHEAFFER'S", shows a slight lost of plating on one side of the ball end..

The pen is fitted with a fine Sheaffer nib, clearly stamped "SHEAFFER'S 3-25 MADE IN U.S.A.".
