The Parker 17 range was introduced in 1962, originally with a short open nib. This was replaced by the hooded nib in 1964, as fitted to this pen. The cap has the familiar Parker arrow clip, but with a slimmer arrow flight than on previous pens. Unlike most previous Parkers, this pen is fitted with a slip-on cap, the "super" model also having a very broad gold-plated cap band. The barrel has a clear imprint reading "PARKER "17" MADE IN ENGLAND". There are no scratches or marks on the barrel and there are no dings, dents etc on the cap band. This pen is beautiful. It is fitted with the aerometric filler and is an excellent writer. The fine/medium tipped 14ct gold nib is in very good condition and writes very smoothly.
