This Conway Stewart 27 fountain pen is in excellent condition.  There are no marks, scratches etc. on the plastic parts and the gold plated clip and cap band are showing no signs of wear.  There is a small amount of brassing on the edges of the filler lever.  This pen has an excellent appearance.

The Conway Stewart 27 has a plastic barrel and cap, decorated with a broad plain cap band.  It came in a variety of finishes, all very attractive, especially the herringbone.  The barrel bears the imprint "Conway Stewart 27. Made In England".

The medium 14ct gold nib nib is stamped " Conway Stewart 14ct gold 5", and writes smoothly with the typical attractive Conway script.  This is a very handsome nib with a high polish.

This pen has a lever filler, where the filler lever on the side of the barrel compresses the rubber ink sac via an internal pressure bar.

This pen has been fully serviced and fitted with a new ink sac.  It is perfectly serviceable and is ready for many years of reliable service..
