The Parker Sonnet is an important part of the modern Parker range, coming in a variety of finishes and nibs, covering the mid-price range. This example, finished in brushed steel trimmed with gold cap band and clip was until earlier in 2008 a current model, though with some minor cosmetic changes. The pen has a broad gold plated cap band and gold plated clip. It is in excellent condition; indeed it looks to have been rarely used.

The fine gold plated steel nib is stamped with a stylised 'P' and " PARKER", and writes smoothly. It has no visible signs of wear. This nib is etched with a pattern of lines and scrolls and is a very attractive item in itself. It has a cartridge/converter filler, allowing standard Parker cartridges to be used, alternatively it can be bottle filled using the twist-action converter, included.
