The Parker Parkette range was introduced in 1934,comprising two lines. The De Luxe boasted three cap bands among other features, whilst the second line Parkette, introduced in 1939, was similar but featured two cap bands, as in this example. Made in Canada, it is a lever filler, with a gold plated lever. The ink sac has been replaced. The imprint reads 'MADE IN PARKETTE CANADA'. The rounded-end cap features two narrow gold plated bands and a ball ended clip attached to the cap with two mounting ears, which at the time was unusual for Parker. The clip is stamped simply 'PATD'
The original 14 carat medium nib has an unusual imprint, reading ''PARKER 14-Ct X'. The style of nib has been described as being turned down, or 'beak shaped' towards the tip.
