Made in England, this black pen is in good condition. Although described by Mabie Todd as a 'Self Filling' pen, this "Swan" pen is in fact a conventional lever filling pen. The ink sac has been replaced.  The barrel has a clear imprint,  reading "  "SWAN" SELF-FILLER   MABIE,TOD0D & CO.LTD.  MADE IN ENGLAND" and includes the stylised Swan trade mark.  The cap has no cap band, and a short ball ended rhodium plated cap clip, stamped with the stylised Swan trade mark. The filler lever is also rhodium plated

The pen is fitted with a fairly stiff, but smooth writing, fine side of medium, "SWAN" nib. It is stamped " "SWAN"  2  14CT  MABIE.TODD & CO.LTD.  MADE IN ENGLAND". The section, the part holding the nib, is stamped "SWAN". The feed (under the nib) is stamped "SWAN.M.2".
